Emanuel van der Hoeven's Leeven en dood der doorlugtige heeren gebroeders Cornelis de Witt, Ruwaard van den Lande van Putten, enz. enz. en Johan de Witt, Raad Pensionaris van Holland en Westvriesland, enz. enz., printed by Jan ten Hoorn in Amsterdam in 1705. Boards are warping with rubbing/bumping to edges and corners, along with a good bit of soiling and smudging to vellum. Faded writing in a very old hand on front. Spine is chipped and punctured at head. Endpapers toned with some pencil writing and previous owner's name in pen at top of front free endpaper. Rear pastedown is starting to tear in a couple spots. Pages are toned and lightly foxed, with dampstaining to the top 1/4-1/2 and light rippling. Foldout engraving is cleanly torn about half way in from edge. Binding is sound and pages are unmarked.
